Review: EOS Circle Lens

I have been a contact lens user for close to 7 years. I wear them pretty much on a daily basis, except on those days where i am just rotting at home, doing basically nothing but just catching up with some youtube videos on my laptop. (talking about life hais hahaha)

There was a hype around EOS circle lens and they usually have very good reviews on them. So some time last year i decided to make my purchase and try them out myself since they are so highly talk about.

I always love looking up for real life pictures online of the different designs of the lenses and how they look like when they are on. This can make sure that i don't end up paying for something that doesn't suit me or that i will rarely wear.

Also, how can anyone picture themselves wearing these right? It's way too abstract for a mortal like me to imagine how i will look like wearing them.

1. New Adult Brown

Diamater: 14.0mm

Water Content: 38%

Base Curve: 8.6mm

Life Span: 1 Year Disposal

1) The diameter for this pair of lens is the smallest (14.0mm) as compared to the other 3 pairs that i bought. They enlarge the size of my pupils yet they do not look too over the top (imo) due to the thinner black rim around the lens.

2) Both the colour and design of it are very pretty!! I especially love how the lens transition from an icy brown colour to black (pupils).

3) The colour is a cool toned light brown and it is fairly opaque and bright.

4) They give off a very mature and sultry look to the eyes.

I do really think that this is a very pretty pair and they are extremely comfortable even with extended hours of wear. However, I do not find myself gravitating towards this a ton since I find it a lil hard for me to pull them off on a day to day basis. However, I do think that they will look great for a night out since they make your eyes twinkle so much!

Some might not think that this brown new adult lens is all that bright, but I personally prefer a warmer shade of brown for my lenses.

Nonetheless, it is certainly one of the prettiest lenses that I've ever tried, it is just a shame that I can't pull it off.

2. Candy Pink

Diameter: 14.5mm

Water Content: 38%

Base Curve: 8.8mm

Life Span: 1 Year Disposal

Candy Pink is one of the most popular lens among the EOS line. It is also the one that I am most excited to try since I have never tried a pink lens before. I read some reviews saying that they look especially good for those with darker eye color as the pink kind of turns into a pinkish brown, making your eyes appear very sweet and cute (somehow). I was immediately sold by the way they describe it haha.

1. It has a thinker outer rim (as you can see from the second pic) which gives a more dolly look to the eyes and it makes them appear bigger.

2. The colour is very opaque and bright and it is in a shade of a very pretty pink.

3. Good for cosplay.

4. Looks good in photo but a lil too over the top in real life (for me).

5. The colour transition very nicely from the pink to the colour of your pupils.

Even though the pink does tone down a teeny bit on my darker eye colour but they are still way too bright for my taste. I only manage to wear them out once and thereafter I hardly ever wear them since they are just way out of my comfort zone.

However, if you are someone that has been looking for a pair of nice (bright) pink lens this will be the one for you!

3. Super Nudy Brown
Diameter: 14.5mm
Water Content: 38%
Base Curve: 8.8mm
Life Span: 1 Year Disposal

This is the first pair that i ordered bcos i have been wanting to own a pair of nudy lens for a very long time. However, instead of buying the eos nudy lens i decided to go for its super nudy series as it has a darker outer rim. I wasn't completely sure if the nudy lens will suit me.

Even though i wear this pair the most out of the four that i own, but I am actually not that impressed with the way they look.

1. The colour of the lens does not blend/trasition very nicely to the pupils as you can see from the pics above (particular in pic 2). I personally am not a fan of this bcos it gives a very harsh and unnatural look to the eyes.

2. They give off a slightly cool tone dark brown hue with dark outer rim when under indoor light/softer light, which i prefer more as compared to the way they look under (relatively) direct sun light as shown in the pic.

3. Suitable for everyday wear.

4. They will make your eyes look bigger but not as dolly/exaggerated as the Candy series.

4. Max Pure Green
Diameter: 14.5mm
Water Content: 38%
Base Curve: 8.8mm
Life Span: 1 Year Disposal

Surprisingly, this green pair is actually my fave pair of the bunch.

On the side note, I wanted to get the pink one from this series but i think it was out of stock when i made my order. They look damn good on hollyannaeree on youtube when she first reviewed it a long time ago. The way they look when they are on is very different from Candy pink too.

1. Although the diameter for this pair is 14.5mm which is the same as all the other pair that I bought (except for new adult brown), they do not make your eyes look as ~~overly~~ dolly/big bcos of its design.

2. The colour is beautiful. It is bright but yet subtle/soft at the same time and not too over the top. It transitions very nicely to the center of your eyes.

3. Even though it is green coloured lens but there's just something special about the design of the max pure series that makes this pair of lens very wearable, and doesn't clash with (~~majority of~~) the looks that you're going for . It is definitely something that you might want to consider trying it out if you are thinking about getting a pair of green or fun coloured lens.

4. It has a dark outer rim which helps to define our eyes.

The Purge: Anarchy

I had an impromptu movie date with my fat boy today yayyyyyy!! <3

Ok lah, the reason behind this is actually not all that sweet and romantic ha..ha..ha :( We simply needed to kill some time before meeting our friends for dinner.

We were looking through all the different movies available atm as well as their show time, and the only one that fit our needs isssssssssss "The Purge: Anarchy"!

We will usually read up on the storyline of the movie briefly before buying our tickets bcos what's the point on spending your precious pennies on something that you're not interested in watching right?!

However, this time round we didn't actually go through all the hassle of finding out more about the movie before we decided on TP:A for a sole reason, and that isssssss its timing for the show. I know it sounds a tad bit ridiculous but since we needed to meet up with our friends afterwards (like what I've mentioned), we had to kinda time ourselves.

And I will have to say that it is definitely one of the most if not THE MOST AWESOME MOVIE THAT I HAVE SEEN IN A VERY LONG TIME.

It might not be everyone's cup of tea but it is certainly one of my fave all time movies now for sure!

I personally really like action thriller movies bcos i find them more interesting to watch esp when you watch them in a movie theater with good surround sound system! As for comedy and romance movies, i prefer to watch them at home either with my family or bf hehehehe

Even though TP:A is nc16, the movie is not too gory which is good for those who doesn't like overly bloody scenes like myself. The plot is very unique and fresh, kinda unpredictable (for me) and is definitely something different from your typical action thriller film. I said this bcos i didn't watch "The Purge" which is the prequel for this when it first came out last year 2013. Therefore, i would say if you've watched the prequel for this, you will be pretty familiar with the annual purge and find it a tad less exciting.

Is it weird to say that this movie gave me an adrenaline rush hahaha?

The movie is not too long as the running time is only for 103min. It is not overly draggy as well since the annual purge only happens for 12h and the main characters have to be moving constantly so as to not be captured and killed by the purgers in order to cleanse their soul.

There is really not much for me to talk about the movie without being a spoiler. Just go and watch it with your friends/bf/gf/family/pets and see if you like it as much as i do!! :)

Get To Know Me

I am currently on my holiday right now yayyy! There are tons of exciting things for me to look forward to for the month of September hehehe! ♥

I will be going to Genting next week with my family. And yes, I am aware that the outdoor amusement park is closed for some maintenance/renovation work. However, I am still super duper looking forward to this mini getaway with my family since we don't usually get to spend a lot of time together due to our busy schedule with school/work. I can't even remember when was the last time we went on a trip together. So yay to bonding time with family whoop whoop <3

I am in the whole "filming" mode ever since the holiday has started and so I decided to make this get to know me tag video to satisfy my needs. I kinda screwed up on the audio bcos of the background noise (mainly, the fan) and the editing wasn't exactly what I wanted it to be. My iMovie just keeps crashing (idkw) and honestly, my patience was running ~~effing~~ low bcos i ended up having to re-edit everything all over again for like 4-5 times! :( (say what?!)

The end result was ok lah, not too bad in my opinion haha! Since I kinda ~~achieved~~ what I intended this video to look like, which is more of a laid-back style and rather dark in color hehes. I really tried my best la guys! (video will be linked at the bottom of the post)

Since it's finally the holiday now, I have decided to spend more time updating this space bcos i really enjoy writing down my thoughts and stuff PLUSSSSSS I have so much to blog about nowadays, like events that happened recently, my experiences, my current fave items etc etc

I am feeling really stoked and motivated!!

I used to spend so much time thinking about how others will react or think of me if i do certain things or behave in a certain way. Basically i was being really insecure, self-conscious and paranoid, to the extent that I feel like I am losing myself. I wasn't happy bcos I feel bounded by all the unnecessary restrictions that I put onto myself. All these insecurities caused me to miss out so much fun and opportunities in life, I was blinded, thinking that I have to fit in and slowly my true personality was slipping away.

I am not saying that I am that much of a confident person now, I am still someone who is majorly concern over how others think of me as a person. But after I took some time off from the internet, giving myself time to really re-think and re-evaluate everything, I sorta found my priorities for my current phase of life and I am certainly not as lost as before. I just feel so much happier now after I decided to give less f*ck and stop taking BS from others.

I am learning to be more optimistic and positive nowadays and trying hard not to let my anxiety takes all over me. For those of you who may be facing the same problem as I am, just take a deep breath, reflect and be kind. Surround yourself with positivity and worry less! <3

Impromptu

Hey yo sup guys! Today is officially the first day of my holiday whoooooopz whoooooopz!!

I started typing this post without thinking much about what I really want to share with you guys so just listen to my random babble alright? Hahahaha

Yesterday was the first time i had an impromptu date with hanlin! He asked me whether if i would like to go to jb for a short getaway after he woke up from his deeeeeeeep slumber. Ok lah, i know it's not really a getaway but you know, i just really wanted to use that word. Sad me want a legit getaway sooooo badly right now! :(

At first I didn't want to go as it was already pretty late. However, he insisted on going. So as a good gf, i gave in to his idea since he looked so pumped and hyped up about it.

On the side note, i really should have brought my camera along but annoying hanlin said no. :( Baby if you see this, yes, i am complaining about you publicly hehehehe

At around 2pm, we finally head out towards woodlands interchange to take bus to sg custom. And bcos i am not the best story teller/writer so this post will be rather filled with photos. Don't mind right?

I really think i dress quite summery and appropriate for a sunny getaway but this ass in blue just refuse to help me take an ootd. -angry- Anyway we took this photo when we were in the bus, heading towards sg custom. Loooook at the way he fake his smile -.-

I am pretty positive that this is the first photo i took after we reached jb at around 3pm! Took less than an hour to go there. Both of us were starving at that time, so this is the face he makes when he knows he is getting food in the restaurant he chose! ^^

No food photo cos we were too eager to gobble down all the food!!

And of course girl being girl, obviously i did ask hanlin to take photos of me while we were waiting for our food! :p

To my surprise when i was picking photos that i want to include in my blog, i find that at times he really knows how to photograph me at my best angle. But gosh look at how tired i was, those eye bags got to go man.

I just feel like including this candid photo to show you guys how much angle matters!

We didn't really explore around jb due to time constraint so we stayed in City Square for the entire day! But it was fine lah bcos there are a lot of cool and interesting shops and restaurantssssssss.

I was quite excited when i saw Sticky in City Square and so we went to take a look! I bought this cheap but super yummy mango lollipop for hanlin just so that he will shut up and accompany me to shop around! Haissss.. hahaha! It was only Rm2 and he loves it! What makes this lollipop even more awesome is that hanlin really did complain lesser since he was busy eating!! #AWESOME

We walked around the shopping mall for a while, went to multiple shops but nothing really caught our eyes so we didn't end up buying a lot of things. But I did buy 3 jap magazines tho (like i always do) bcos i find that it is so much more affordable there as compared to sg.

After Mr Bay finished his lollipop, he started to be a pain in the ass again and kept on forcing me to watch movie with him! I wasn't very keen about this until he told me that we are watching X-men which apparently is my fave marvel movie series in the entire universe and so I couldn't say no and went with his plan again! We bought the movie tickets for 7pm so we still have plenty of time to look around since it was only 4pm plus nearing 5pm.

While we were walking around City Square, we saw that mcdonald in msia has got some interesting burgers that we couldn't find in sg. So fatty us decided to just order 1 set meal to share! I leave him to order whatever he wants while i was queueing for my vanilla cone which i didn't end up buying and bought vanilla milkshake with oreo crumbs instead! It tastes like melted vanilla ice cream with oreo crumbs and it's so hard to drink it from a straw, you have to suck damn hard just to get some milkshake out from it. Both of us were laughing at each other's facial expression when we were drinking it as we look like we are going to pass out anytime.

And guess what?! He ordered a freaking BIG MAC lol! Something that we can easily find in sg hahahahaha! Ok lah, it is not really his fault he said that the cashier made a mistake when he was placing his order.

By the time we finished our meal, we were already feeling so damn lazy and tired. So we decided to stay around mcd to rest! #piglifestyle

I am looking super awkward here but meh it's ok. Just look at him omg he looks like a fat ahbeng!! Too cuteee i kennut!!

He was laughing at his own face when we were looking thru all the photos we took that day! -.-

I really loveeee this photo! He smiles until super genuine hehehe!! He even personally chose this photo and use it to update his instagram. ^^

This is as unglam as i can possibly go! HAHAHAHA

He insisted to go to Molly Fantasy which is an arcade for kids to play his fave basketball game thingy! We wanted to play a really cool 4 players air hockey but it is out of order! T^T And guess what?! We settled for the air hockey for kids, we literally have to squad down and play!! Bcos if we don't, we will have to bend our body down so much that it will cause us backache. It was really fun but embarrassing at the same time haha! Should have vlog instead of me typing down whatever that happened which can be super wordy and boring! :(

Near Molly Fantasy, there is this shop which sells a lot of cute musical instruments and look what i found!

Hell yes! A watermelon design ukelele!!!!!!!! How can anyone resist this?!?!?!?! I was so damn excited when i saw this!! I have been thinking about learning ukelele and this watermelon one has certainly got me very VERY VERYYYYYYY excited. But too bad, it was rather pricey, and for the price i pay for this i could have buy a more classic and timeless piece. So hanlin is still persuading me to give up on this gem. :( I agreed to what he said but still i really want and need this in my life. Just look at it!! Stare at it!! Doesn't it just melt your heart?! *.*

But since I am a beginner, I think that it is not necessary for me to splurge on a good one yet. Not until I master some of the skills, right? :)

After I kiss goodbye with this super adorable ukelele, we headed down to the cinema. We were roughly 5-10min late but thankfully the movie hasn't started yet. If not I will probably be on rage mode bcos I certainlu do not wish to miss out any single scene in x-men.

X-men was damn good even though it is not super action packed but the storyline is just brilliant! Not gonna talk too much about the actual movies itself bcos i don't want my post to be a SPOILERRR.

After watching X-men, it was already pretty late and it's time for us to head back to sg. But fatty pig hanlin was still feeling hungry and wanted to try the subway seafood and crab sandwich. We made a quick trip down to subway to satisfy his craving and then we finally head back to sg.

The queue for bus 950/170 (i couldn't remember which was it) was freaking long but the queue was moving very very fast so we didn't really wait for too long!

Reached woodlands interchange, feeling tired yet contented as we finally got to spend some quality time with each other! <3

After i put my hair near his face and took this photo, he asked me "baby what was that for?" and give me a really sian diao look.

Hi, it's been so damn long since i last posted on my blog again haha! Hmmmm, i told myself that i'm gonna try to update my blog as frequently as i possibly can and I even set this as one of my new year resolutions!! -.- I figured this whole new year resolution thing is just a myth.

A lil fun fact: This post was supposed to be up 3 weeks ago, laziness took over me..

Anyway, i just would like to say that i wouldn't be posting much videos on AshAisle, not because i lost interest in making videos (which will never ever happen), but because the camera i use to film is now lost. T^T Well, to be exact, i did not actually lose it, i just couldn't find it anywhere. I guess this can also explain my lack of update here on my blog because i was.. you know.. pretty heartbroken.. :'(

And that means…. you guys will be stuck with my poor quality photos taken using my iPhoneeeee for a period of time. However, don't worryyyyyyyyyyy people! I will definitely work hard (if i can) and earn some god damn cash to buy a new cameraaaa! So don't you dare leave me while i'm at the lowest point of my life! :(

Oh oh, anyway i've put together some footages that i've recored during my trip back to msia (sep holiday 2013) with my family and Zac in a form of a vlog. I didn't manage to film much because we were busy moving house, nonetheless it was a really memorable trip for Zack (i hope) and I. Therefore, i decided to make a video out of it and post it online!

There were obviously more things that happened during our trip but i just didn't get the chance to film everything down. Because.. Just like what i've mentioned earlier, we were so caught up by the tight schedule of moving house, tons of packing and unpacking, traveling back and forth from the old to new house etc.

Nevertheless, I still hope that you guys will enjoy watching this video!! BECAUSE I PUT IN A LOT OF EFFORT TO EDIT THIS!! HAHAHA!!
